Learning

At Today's Kids, the child comes first. We take pride in not only providing for their physical and emotional needs, but for their developmental needs as well. Our curriculum was created for its balance between both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning. It is our goal to help the children develop the passion for learning that they will carry with them throughout their life.  Today's Kids uses a weekly theme based curriculum that is designed to foster social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development and to enhance learning in literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts.  This allows the teachers to plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, content-rich program for children of all backgrounds and skill levels that is constantly matching the interests of the students. Please be sure to look for the weekly lesson plans hanging in the classrooms.

Communication

Providing an environment where children grow their confidence and learn to express themselves in a variety of situations.

Social and emotional

Encourage children to develop an attitude of kindness, cooperation, courtesy and helpfulness towards others while developing self-confidence and independence.

Physical

Helping children develop their coordination, control and movement through a variety of fine and gross motor activities.

Expressive arts

Enabling children to explore and play with a wide range of media and materials.

Literacy

Encouraging children to link sounds and letters and begin to read and write. Children are exposed to a wide range of reading materials to ignite their interest.

Mathematics

Helping children with their counting skills, understanding numbers and simple addition and subtraction problems.

I had my baby enrolled here only for a short time but I have no complaints. He was there from the time he was 4 months until maybe 7 months? The caregiver in the infant room was so sweet and so patient. Ms. Julie, I think was her name. She always took time to rock your baby, and play with your baby, and they even did a Christmas craft that involved his feet and an adorable photo they framed for us. I saw the same staff morning and afternoon, and everyone was so kind. They let me come on my Lunch break to nurse and cuddle him and were great in handling my premade bottles of breast milk. They were also very good communicators. If I was to ever need childcare again, I’d pick this facility. They made leaving my baby for the first time a great experience.

Such a friendly place and full of caring workers! Always go out their way for every visitor that walks into the door of the daycare. Shot out to my mom Lisa she's amazing and one hard worker and someone anyone can talk to!

This place seems to be really helping my daughter. As a child growing up half of her life in Covid world, she has been sheltered a lot and missed playing with other kids. It’s not been the easiest task to start my daughter at daycare being almost 5, but Brittany comforts my daughter in the morning when she’s emotional about me leaving her and my daughter goes right to Brittany now no problem. All the staff have been really nice and professional and the place is always really clean. My daughter has been going here for about a month now and not one accident or anything negative I can say. I get updates all thru out the day of what my daughter is eating and doing, I really like the classroom setting and learning that is being done. They have a gentleman on staff which is a sense of security in todays world especially. I Read some of the negative reviews below and had to share my opinion so far. Over a month in and no accidents is really big to me and shows the kids are actually being watched and have activities to keep them busy. It’s not been the easiest thing on any end to start a child in daycare that is use to always being with one of the parents and everyone here has been understanding to that.

We had a wonderful experience at Todays Kids - only reason we transitioned was due to a job change. They are communicative, have a wonderful facility, and my sons teachers in the infant room were fantastic. Highly recommended!
